Following is a list of issues resolved in Quark Publishing System® 7.31

  • RESOLVED: Mac OS® X 10.5.1 only: An error message displays when you delete a subcategory and then collapse and expand the display of the main category that formerly contained the deleted subcategory.
  • RESOLVED: Windows® only: If you add and then delete a domain attribute and then click OK in the Edit Attribute dialog box, an error message displays.
  • RESOLVED: Automatic routing settings are not maintained when you migrate to QPS® 7.3. After migration, all values are set to "No Auto Routing."
  • Windows only: Many keyboard shortcuts conflict in English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian.
  • RESOLVED: Windows only: The "Today" operator for Date and Date Time attributes is not localized. If you specify English as your program language, save or share a search that uses the "Today" operator, switch the program language, and then attempt to use the search on Windows, the search does not work.
  • RESOLVED: QuarkXPress® or QuarkCopyDesk® unexpectedly quits if you save a search or received a shared search that includes "Created is 'Today'" criteria and you subsequently delete another search.
  • RESOLVED: If another user deletes an article from QPS while you have it checked out in QPS Web Editor running on Mozilla Firefox® and French or German is your program language, an alert with nonsense characters displays when you try to check in the article.
  • RESOLVED: If a QPS Web Editor executes a shared search that includes the "Today" operator in a Date Time attribute, the search executes successfully, but the field in the Search area displays "TD." The search does not work if you click Go again.
  • RESOLVED: If a QuarkXPress or QuarkCopyDesk article includes custom character formatting or specifies a language other than the default language, these values are lost if a QPS Web Editor user checks out an article and checks it back in.
  • RESOLVED: Mac OS X 10.5.1: If you hide the search criteria for a new or saved search and then peel off the search tab to create a separate Search Results window, the search criteria area displays.
  • RESOLVED: If a QuarkCopyDesk user opens a read-only version of an article from the QPS Server or creates a new From Section article before logging off the QPS Server, a QPS Environment conflict error displays incorrectly if the user logs on to the QPS Server again.
  • RESOLVED: The tooltips for the Search Results palette column headers are not localised in all languages and all QPS applications.
  • RESOLVED: Mac OS only: QuarkCopyDesk unexpectedly quits when a user clicks OK in the Update Geometry notification message.
  • RESOLVED: If a user duplicates a picture box that contains an attached picture, an alert displays with an option to save a local copy of the picture or duplicate the picture box without its content. This alert should not display.

QuarkCopyDesk

  • RESOLVED: QuarkCopyDesk unexpectedly quits if you create a new article, switch to Full Screen view, create a new component, and then double-click in the new component.
  • RESOLVED: If a QuarkCopyDesk user opens an article that was created from a QuarkXPress text box that contained an anchored box, the anchored box does not appear to be selected if the QuarkCopyDesk user selects all the text in Full Screen or Galley view.
  • RESOLVED: QuarkCopyDesk unexpectedly quits if you display the Preferences dialog box (QuarkCopyDesk/Edit menu) with no articles open, click the Notes pane, and then check Inline Notes in Full Screen and Galley.
