Quark Unites Key Dynamic Publishing Capabilities into One Integrated Offering with
Acquisition of the Assets of In.vision Research Corporation

In.vision – XML Authoring from QuarkOn July 17, 2008, Quark announced the acquisition of the assets of In.vision Research Corporation, a privately held software company that developed the industry-leading add-in to Microsoft® Word for XML authoring. This acquisition will allow Quark to be the leading company to bring together professional design and simple XML authoring into one integrated system.

XML authoring allows companies to produce content that is suitable for dynamic publishing. With this acquisition, Quark gains Xpress Author for Microsoft Word, an XML authoring tool that lets users easily create XML content in a familiar word processing environment that will feed into Quark® Dynamic Publishing Solution.

This integrated offering will empower customers to easily adopt a dynamic publishing solution that will improve their productivity and reduce costs, while enabling them to communicate more effectively with audiences across multiple types of media, including print, the Web, mobile, and electronic devices.
