Through the Spring Framework JavaT/J2EET and its service-oriented architecture, QPS® 7 now offers server-side automation to connect to and integrate with other systems. QPS 7 incorporates the Bean Scripting Framework, allowing you to write scripts in JavaScriptT or Groovy Script languages that automate workflows on the QPS Server. All client features are available as script actions, and QPS Server Events can also trigger a script.
With server-side scripting and the new QPS Script Manager Client, you can automate redundant processes in your workflow and boost system usability by initiating actions based on QPS Server events, a predefined schedule, or a user's single click. This eliminates intervention on behalf of a user or another QPS application, speeds up the workflow, and drives process consistency.
As an administrator, you can create a script for connecting with other systems, such as a Web- content management system, to retrieve XML content. This content is then automatically converted into a QuarkCopyDesk® article and can be checked in to QPS for routing to a user or group.
