Let team members get straight to their tasks by pre-defining searches and pushing them to users and groups. QPS® takes basic search functionality to new heights by letting you search the system and save search criteria to the server for sharing across the workgroup.
You can add conditions to refine and narrow your query, and you can perform a count to gauge the number of hits before execution. You can even display your query results in a variety of views for added clarity, including list, thumbnail, filmstrip, and hierarchical modes.
Administrators in professional publishing environments can define and save complex queries specific to their editorial workflows. These can be pushed to users and groups, easing the learning curve.
QPS also allows each user to create, save, and share their searches.
Nested searches can contain other saved searches, and in “ask searches” a saved query asks for user input at run–time to enter one or more search parameters. Both features allow users to find assets in the system faster and with greater precision.
Enabled by Apache® Lucene, the high-performance, full-featured text search engine, QPS' full text search feature allows users to search text content in all types of documents, including QuarkXPress®, QuarkCopyDesk®, PDF, and Microsoft® Word.
